USMLE Step 1 2008-2009: GENERAL PROGRAM

Spring semester starts in January, Summer semester starts in May and Fall semester starts in September of each year.

Classes are for GROUP 1: Mondays and Wednesdays and for GROUP 2:Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 PM to 10: 00 PM with a 12-hours Open Study Group on Sundays from 9:00 AM to 9: 00 PM in our location at: CULTURARTE: 260 Audubon Avenue, Suite 100 S, New York, NY 10033 between 178th street and 179th street in Upper Manhattan. Classes are bilingual Spanish and English. Circular admission for the 3 semesters for the whole year is available with a MEMBERSHIP of the Asociacion Hispana de profesionales de la Salud at AHPSI.org

1. Introduction – Test-Taking Strategies (1 week)
2. ANATOMY: Gross Anatomy, Neuroanatomy, Embryology and Histology (1 week)
3. Physiology (Pathophysiology) (2 Weeks)
4. Behavioral Sciences (2 Weeks)
5. Biochemistry: Molecular Biology – Genetics - Nutrition (2 Weeks)
6. Microbiology: Bacteriology-Virology, Mycology and Parasitology (1 Week)
7. Immunology (1 Week)
8. Pathology (4 Weeks)
9. Pharmacology (2 Weeks)



Total number of Weeks: 16
Total number of hours: from 8 to up to 20 hours per week
Application Fee: US$ 100 (Non-refundable)

Cost: US$ 1, 200 per semester
(Your will also receive a 2008 "FIRST AID for the USMLE Step 1" Book, the UHA! Diagnostic Test (UDT) and a Voucher for the NBME: Comprehensive Basic Science Self-Assessment Examination when appropriate)

Admission and registration are low cost. All Classes are bilingual. All participants must be dedicated, informed and punctual to all classes. Support material and references are from USMLE oriented books. All participants are suggested to take a previous USMLE Step 1 Diagnostic Test before or during first four (4) weeks of classes.
